Gerard M. D’Emilio

Gerard D’Emilio is an associate in the Oklahoma City office of GableGotwals, where his practice focuses on litigation. A former Gable summer associate, Gerard clerked for the Honorable David L. Russell in the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma before joining the Firm. He also served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Robert E. Bacharach in the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

Gerard graduated first in his class from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, having held that rank every semester. At OU Law, he served as an Articles Editor on the Oklahoma Law Review, a member of the National Moot Court team, a Dean’s Leadership Fellow, and President of OU Law’s chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Gerard earned numerous honors during law school, including induction into the Order of the Coif and the National Order of Scribes, the Nathan Scarritt Prize, the S.T. Bledsoe Memorial Prize, the James F. Hawes Memorial Cup, and sixteen American Jurisprudence Awards for the highest course grade. He was named a 2017 Holloway Scholar by Oklahoma City’s chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

Gerard received his bachelor’s degrees in politics and vocal performance from Oberlin College in 2012, and his master’s degree in vocal performance from Westminster Choir College in 2014. Prior to law school, Gerard enjoyed a career as a professional opera singer.

Scott Kiplinger

Scott Kiplinger is an associate in the Oklahoma City office of GableGotwals, where he previously worked as a summer associate. His experience includes assisting in defending a large nuisance case and working on a number of employment matters and contested wills.

He is admitted to practice in the Oklahoma Supreme Court and all Oklahoma District Courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.

Scott received his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law where he received numerous honors, including designations on the Dean’s Honor Roll each semester. He also served as an Editor of the Oil and Gas, Natural Resources, and Energy Journal. Scott received his B.A. from the University of Missouri. In addition, he served in the Army and the Oklahoma Army National Guard from 2007-2018 and was deployed to Kandahar and Kabul as a Field Artillery officer.

David P. Limekiller

David Limekiller is of counsel in the Tulsa office of GableGotwals. He has been practicing corporate and business law in Oklahoma since 1998. David’s practice mainly focuses on general commercial and business litigation including corporate, banking, commercial, trade secrets, employment, real estate sales and leases, as well as foreclosure actions. He regularly advises clients on corporate and business issues and has represented clients in a wide range of commercial transactions and acquisitions. Prior to joining the Firm, David was a general civil litigator in New York City.

David’s recent experience includes:

• Represented a bank in the successful defense of a $40,000,000.00 lender liability claim.
• Represented a bank in a successful action to recover a $6,000,000.00 loss caused by the borrower’s fraud.
