Graydon D. Luthey, Jr. Appointed to Oklahoma Supreme Court’s Committee on Judicial Elections
Dean Luthey, a Shareholder at GableGotwals, has been appointed by the Board of Governors of the Oklahoma Bar Association, upon nomination of its President, to the Oklahoma Supreme Court’s Committee on Judicial Elections. The Committee, created by Supreme Court order, consists of three lawyers and three lay members appointed by the Oklahoma Bar Association, and three District Court Judges of at least 10-years’ seniority appointed by the Chief Justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court. The Committee adjudicates complaints against candidates in elections for state judgeships. Dean’s appointment is through December 31, 2027.
Dean Luthey is a civil trial and appellate lawyer with more than 40-years of experience. He has served as presiding judge of a temporary division of the Oklahoma Court of Appeals, a member of the Supreme Court’s Rules Committee, an adjunct professor of law at The University of Tulsa, Oklahoma Chairman of the Fellows of American Bar Foundation, President of the Northern/ Eastern Oklahoma Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and President of the Tulsa American Inns of Court. He is an elected member of the American Law Institute and speaks regularly at the Oklahoma Judicial Conference and the Sovereignty Symposium.
