GableGotwals mourns the loss of Sheppard F. “Mike” Miers, Jr.

GableGotwals mourns the loss of our colleague Sheppard F. “Mike” Miers, Jr. For more than five decades, Mike represented corporations, business management, and individuals in tax planning and compliance, employee benefits, deferred compensation, business and financial transactions, estate planning, probate, and the administration of estates and trusts. He was also a CPA and served as the Chair of the Section of Taxation Law of the Oklahoma Bar Association. In addition, Mike served as an adjunct professor teaching taxation at The University of Tulsa, and regularly spoke and published articles on taxation and employee benefits, including co-authoring and presenting the Oklahoma tax law update at the annual Oklahoma Bar Association Legal Updates CLE seminar for 15 years. We will miss Mike’s shy smile and witty sense of humor.
