Blake Patton is a shareholder at GableGotwals. He is a business-focused litigator with an academic background in accounting. He maintains a diverse trial and appellate practice before state and federal courts, and administrative agencies. Blake’s practice also includes advising on numerous constitutional challenges to legislative actions.
His constitutional litigation practice has resulted in numerous published opinions by the Oklahoma Supreme Court and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. He regularly represents large insurance companies in disputes over the handling of insurance claims, and the interpretation of insurance contracts. He has handled numerous large real estate purchase transactions and development projects, as well as complex litigation arising from real estate transactions.
He also has represented clients in federal white-collar criminal investigations and prosecutions, including federal R.I.C.O. prosecutions initiated by the U.S. Department of Justice, cyber fraud investigations related to international aircraft lease and purchase transactions conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Lacey Act investigations conducted by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
